Duvet’s ‘Sweaty Dog’ is Fiery Whirl of Post-Punk

Last month Manchester band Duvet shared their song ‘Girlcow’, which was taken from a forthcoming split 7″, out October 6th. Now they unveil the b-side to the release which is the track ‘Sweaty Dog’.

A fiery ball of pure post-punk amazement, the track is upbeat with classic punk funk implements. Whipping guitar lines streak across the rumbling bass line which is topped by the in your face vocal delivery of Grace Walkden. From her commanding spoken word style approach which morphs at times into all out screams, Walkden grips the listener like a python with the exception being a clutch that one wants to remain in for the complete duration of time.

‘Girlcow / Sweaty Dog’ will land via Fear of Missing Out Records.

Touching on the single, Duvet stated:

“‘Sweaty Dog’ is a simple song about the state you become after a long night out going from place to place trying to stay out till you develop a animalistic state covered in sweat, booze and other substances while trying to still dance and have fun waiting for your next drink . Some of us in the band like the idea that maybe the ‘Sweaty Dog’ is a dance you do or that they’re this actual half man half dog. We hope everyone has as much fun listening to the track as we do playing it, and just take it for what it is…Our party rock anthem!”
