Sometimes you have to destroy to rebuild, and with John Solomon, founder of St. Paul band Communist Daughter, battling a series of trials and tribulations which nearly demolished everything dear to him, also helped to act as an awakening moment to rise stronger than ever.
Releasing their album Soundtrack To The End back in 2011, Communist Daughter went on to drop their Lions & Lambs EP and even their somewhat grim thorn into the side of X-mas songs with their Sing Sad Christmas record. With their new album The Cracks That Built The Wall out October 21st, CD have now shared their new single ‘Roll A Stone’. Whilst fused with a line of indie-folk, the song is spiky with a potent edge without creating a sense of jar, something that Solomon has been quite masterful at over the years. We have a stream of ‘Roll A Stone’ down below. Have a listen.
