ColoRising Mixes returns with a very special curated playlist courtesy of London duo The Vanity Project, who appropriately titles it ‘Ten eclectic tracks that cover the various influences found on our debut album ‘We Never Should Have Come Here. A lively, eclectic, and all out eargasmic selection, you can expect to hear tracks ranging from the likes of XTC to Tune-Yards, on down to Danny Brown.

Comprised of Flora Jackson and Rob Paterson, The Vanity Project have crafted a sound that they dub ‘queer freak-pop’. The multi-styled blend of their music has resulted in a wild, theatrical, and all-out grabbing offering that honestly sits in a lane of its own. Delving into a variety of social topics whilst adding a distinct cheek, their records are truly larger than life. Having released their singles ‘Epoch’, and the recent ‘Eureka!’, The Vanity Project are set to drop their debut LP We Never Should Have Come Here on September 29th. The pair will also play live set at The Cavendish Arms Stockwell on the same day, literally performing the album in its entirety. You can best believe attendees will be in for quite a ride. The Vanity Project is what you definitely need in your life!
