Leeds band Chaika describe their sound as “psych noir”, and they are surely not off the mark. Fusing the sound of psychedelic and garage rock, the band definitely trek into trippier territory than most. Chaika’s latest track ‘The Quietness’ rocks with in-your-face edge, combining psych with noise. Like a wild ride down the rabbit hole of Wonderland, the tune takes many twists and turns into quite imaginative and also mental points. Chaika seem to be in an organic space of creative freedom, and we’re loving every minute. ‘The Quietness’ is out March 4th.
