Bonobo Has Released His Sixth Album ‘Migration’

Bonobo has released his anticipated new album Migration via Ninja Tune Records. Exploring the theme of people’s travel from their home to another place whilst bringing rooted elements, the LP features Nick Murphy (formerly Chet Faker), Rhye, Nicole Miglis and Innov Gnawa. Bonobo previously shared the singles ‘Kerala’ and ‘Break Apart’ over the past couple of months, with his third track ‘No Reason’ recently unveiled this week.

Speaking in depth on the theme of Migration and the question of a true home, Bonobo stated:

“It’s interesting how one person will take an influence from one part of the world and move with that influence and effect another part of the world. Over time, the identities of places evolve. My family and I are all disbanded and spread to far corners of the earth. In the end we did the funeral in Brighton. My own personal idea of identity, where I am from, and what home is, has played into this record and its migratory themes. Is home where you are or where you are from, when you move around?”
