Berlin-based ANYX, the moniker of artist Anna Lucia Nissen, has announced the release of her debut album Starlink. Scheduled to land August 28th on La Rubia Producciones, along with the news, ANYX has also unveiled her new single ‘Window In Your Eyes’.

Dark, and moody ‘Window In Your Eyes’ begins as a slow build, when the production being quite spacious, incorporating post-classical elements. The haunting tune eventually transforms into a more theatrical piece, reaching grand heights that reflects ANYX’s already high aesthetic artistry.

ANYX has also shared an official video to ‘Window In Your Eyes’, which is directed by Kurt Heuvens.

Touching on the single, ANYX said:

“This song is special to me because it’s the first time I’ve included a harp in my music. It brought a completely different energy for my voice to react to. The song really became a dialogue — almost a duet — between harp and voice.”

Regarding the video, she also added:

“”For me, the kite in this video is a visual translation of the harp within the song — something fluid, restless and fast-moving, almost in constant motion, acting as a counterpart to the darker register of my voice. A mercurial and strange companion, orbiting alone in this world we built for ourselves. Mirroring my own emotional states: Sometimes I’m strong, muscular and confident, moving through life with my wings spread wide, but then again I’m fragile, thin-skinned, glued to the ground. I wanted the video to capture those shifting emotional states — the physical closeness of my performance set against the vast horizon of the Wadden Sea, overlooked by this strange ghostly figure drifting through the wind.”
