Detroit band ADULT. have released their new album Becoming Undone via Dais Records, the follow-up to the pair’s 2020 LP Perception is/as/of Deception. Physical copies of the record will land March 11th.
ADULT. have also unveiled the official video to their energetic synth-punk single ‘Our Bodies Weren’t Wrong’. Shot and edited by the band themselves, the visuals feature Shannon White dancing around a home with collaged clips of ADULT. vocalist Nicola Kuperus performing the track layered on top.
Touching on the video, ADULT. stated:
“In the video for ‘Our Bodies Weren’t Wrong’, we wanted to take the album cover from Becoming Undone and bring it to life. Askew interior architectures merge with estranged domesticity. The body moves rightside up / upside down / in the doorway / out of the doorway in this suburban void filled with too many doors to realms of the unknown. Feelings of disorientation and liminality interlaced with elements of Nightmare on Elm Street and the dance meets horror of Susperia featuring Shannon White. Yesterday was the future.”
