Whilst the name St. Tropez provokes imagery of the gorgeous city located on the French Rivera, in the case of the band, there are no accordion-accompanied solos, but rather gritty garage punk that rocks…and hard. In fact, the group isn’t French but Dutch, and their EP release which landed earlier this year, captured the early spirit of punk found in bands such as The Ramones.
St. Tropez’s latest single ‘Son Of God’ challenges aspects of religion with the idea of self-saving whilst streaking guitar riffs initially set the tone of a blazing slice of garage at it’s finest and most organic. You can purchase the single on November 13th.
