Montreal outfit Yoo Doo Right have unveiled their new single ‘Eager Glacier’. The song is taken from their forthcoming album From the Heights of Our Pastureland, landing November 8th on the Mothland label.
Already known for their experimentation of sound, for ‘Eager Glacier’, the band bring forth a cinematic record which, while over 9 minutes in duration, spawns various moods ranging from peaceful to straight up apocalyptic. Using post rock building blocks to foster the foundation, ‘Eager Glacier’ plays like the soundtrack of a big budget film all packed within its lengthy timespan.
Along with the single, Yoo Doo Right have also shared accompanying visuals. Directed by Stacey Lee, you can watch the vid down below.
Regarding the video, Stacey Lee said:
“I’ve recently embraced the surrealist and absurdist in me, and this project reflects my desire to blur the lines between reality and the subconscious. Inspired by my recent deep dive into experimental cinema, I’ve come to see genres as fluid—cinema, like music, exists on a continuum, and my work is an ongoing exploration of that entire range. This video doesn’t follow a traditional narrative but instead invites viewers into a space where they can create their own meaning. Through visual experimentation, I wanted to transport us into another dimension, where magic literally unfolds on screen.”
