The Hip-Hop community is mourning the loss of west coast singer/rapper Nate Dogg. Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Hale, passed away on March 15, 2011 at the age of 41. The Long Beach, CA native’s death is suspected to be related to deteriorating health. Nate Dogg suffered a partially paralyzing stroke in 2007 as well as another stroke in 2008.
Nate Dogg, an original member of 213 along with Snoop Dogg and Warren G, has left a huge imprint on the world of Hip-Hop with his numerous vocal contributions to songs of artists ranging from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Dogg Pound, Ludacris, Eminem and more. Nate is a four time Grammy nominee as well as an instrumental part in the development of the west coast g-funk sound. He has released three solo albums which consists of “G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2”, “Music and Me” and “Nate Dogg”. Nate Dogg shall surely be missed.
