Newcastle outfit TV Death have unveiled their new single ‘Scarecrow’ which is taken from the band’s forthcoming EP The God, The One and The Devil. The track is the follow-up to their lead-off cut ‘Village Mentality’, which dropped last month.

‘Scarecrow’ is pure, unadulterated rock & roll that is bursting with energy. Injecting doses of garage rock, indie and drips on post-punk, from the instrumentation comprised of frenzied guitar work to the vocal performance, TV Death deliver nothing short of an exciting record.

To coincide with the single, TV Death have also shared a video to ‘Scarecrow’ which you can watch below.

Regarding the track, TV Death stated:

“Scarecrow was inspired by a collection of friend’s stories of dating during the pandemic and the anxieties of catching covid in the pursuit of finding love. I had this tongue and cheek line ‘there’s scarecrow in the field of love’ describing the strange times we were going through where everyone was losing touch with the feeling of a strangers’ touch due to covid and only putting on their proper clothes to go to the supermarket.”
