Melbourne psych band Beans have released their new single ‘Calling’. The song is taken from their forthcoming album Boots N Cats, scheduled to drop March 1st on Fuzz Club Records.

To cut to the chase, ‘Calling’ is great! This is a perfect example of how you can keep a sound straight, to the point, and more than anything…funky! With thumping licks balanced by head-nodding drums, all topped with woozy vocals, the tune instantly has you roped in from start to finish, trapped by the entrancing groove. Touching on the single, Matt Blach of Beans stated:

“Calling is about that period of Covid time where everyone, including myself, felt like they were going insane. When people were being really sensitive and reactive, calling people out over pure boredom – obviously sometimes worthy, sometimes far-fetched.”
