One band to be excited about is Brooklyn trio The Wants, the other group of Bodega’s Madison Velding-VanDam. Releasing a number of tracks including ‘Clearly a Crisis’ and ‘Fear My Society’, they are spreading pure post-punk goodness. Their latest song ‘The Motor’ is no exception. Powered by a funky bass line, slick guitar riffs and head-nodding drums, the song is a revving piece that plays with a sinister feel yet is upbeat and dance-friendly. ‘The Motor’ is taken from The Wants’ forthcoming LP Container, out March 13th o Council Records.
