The Slow Readers Club Unveil New Single ‘Killing Me’

The Slow Readers Club will release their forthcoming album The Joy Of The Returnahead on March 20th via the Modern Sky UK label. The band have shared one of the singles taken from the new LP entitled ‘Killing Me’. Absolutely shining with pristine instrumentation, epic breakdowns and titanic vocals, ‘Killing Me’ is a classic example of a well-crafted indie rock song that is designed to make you think as well as move your body.

Touching on the track vocalist Aaron Starkie said:

“‘Killing Me’ is a song about inequality. It’s about being controlled by a ruling class, and how we’ve designed a system of living for ourselves that’s a kind of prison, emotionally and spiritually. It’s about a world where we increasingly isolate ourselves through an addiction to our phones and social media. ‘Son I’m a slave to technology, talk through the glass’.”
