Glasgow band The Ninth Wave have been firing off a number of remixes from their Unhappy Days! remix EP. Having unveiled reworks from Dream Wife, Working Men’s Club and Mogwai, they now step forth with The Twilight Sad remix of their song ‘Happy Days!’ which is dubbed as the title cut of the EP. A menacing 4×4 ripper, the production encompasses elements of dance and industrial rolled up into one stomping version that absolutely crushes. Another killer remix, you can check out The Twilight Sad remake down at the bottom.
Touching on the remix, Andy MacFarlane of The Twilight Sad mentioned:
“I chose to remix ‘Happy Days!’ firstly, because there are a lot of really interesting rhythmic parts going on throughout the song that it was easy to hear how it could be mixed in so many different ways, and secondly because I used to have a pet snake called Richie Cunningham.”
