Powered by repeating guitar lines, militant drums with running snares, and sequenicing form the Roland MC-202, the spacious production makes for the perfect backdrop for singer Laura Wight to speak her truth regarding a rough relationship.

Wire Share Demo Version of ‘French Film Blurred’

Wire will re-release their first iconic LPs 'Pink Flag', 'Chairs Missing' and '154' along with special edition CD books. They will include a number of previously unreleased songs as well as an 80-page hardback book of rare photos. The band actually recorded a total of 26 demos for their 'Chairs Missing' album which includes this raw version of their track 'French Film Blurred'. Having recorded the song in 1977, the tune got re-written in 1978. Classic post punk in all its glory, this is taken from 'Chairs Missing', which is out May 18th. A standard edition of the albums will land June 22nd via Wire's label Pinkflag.

Having played an integral part in the development of post-punk, the group is currently celebrating 40 years since their first performance. This is also manifested with the release of their fifteenth studio album 'Silver/Lead', scheduled to land March 31 via pinkflag. Kicking off the upcoming LP is their latest single 'Short Elevated Period'. Pushed by revving guitars, the song grabs bits of golden era punk whilst simultaneously keeping the sound up to the modern times with no intentions on being a throwback piece.
