Leeds band Van Houten have released their new EP 'Home Alone 2', the follow-up to their 2019 self-titled LP. Consisting of five tracks in total, the group deliver smokey, cool-out pop with sprinkles of psychedelic, indie and even Americana.
Leeds has been an all-out hotbed of musical talent over the past few years. One band that definitely stands out is Van Houten, whose dreamy sound is utterly infectious. Van Houten's latest single is the dreamy 'IDK', a breezy indie meets psychedelic pop offering that shimmers with an air of late 70s/early 80s nostalgia planted with a modern rooting. Charged by rubbery guitar lines, light drum work and gentle vocals, 'IDK' is the perfect cool-out cut that makes you want to be in the ultimate place of peace.
