Glasgow is a city bursting with amazing bands creating really interesting sounds. One group that has definitely stood out is The Ninth Wave. With their forthcoming EP 'Happy Days!' landing July 31st, The Ninth Wave have now unveiled their new single 'I’m Only Going To Hurt You'. Taken the sounds of post-punk and goth, giving the marriage a tightened knot of dance, the upbeat track, built with an 80s flair, is constructed with crunching synths, rumbling 4x4 kicks and cutting vocal work. Bold and exciting, The Ninth Wave have knocked the ball out of the park once again.

Two Tribes Share Their New Single ‘Videodrone’

On paper, the thought of fusing industrial, post-punk and dance with Balearic influences could seem a bit suspect. However, London-based band Two Tribes have managed to pull it off with there latest single 'Videodrone'. The song follows their previously released track 'Zone'. Drawing inspiration from not only an early 80s synth palette, 90s rave is also embedded in the production that is ethereal and quite blissful. Produced by Oli Bayston, 'Videodrone' is currently out now. Have a listen.

Skream Shares New Single ‘Song For Olivia’

Croydon producer Skream continues to foster various styles of electronica, this time meshing together 80s synthwave, disco and modern techno for his latest single 'Song For Olivia'. A dedication track to his daughter, glistening synth spreads line the tune, as upbeat kicks aided by cowbells provide a dance friendly groove.

In Mirrors ‘Human’ Video

Back in 2018 Vancouver band In Mirrors released their debut LP 'Escape From Berlin'. Produced by Italians Do It Better label boss Johnny Jewel, the seductive and cinematic album was another steamy offering from the IDIB camp, with a sound that fans have come to expect from the imprint.

Jakuzi ‘Toz’ Video

Istanbul band Jakuzi are gearing up for the release of their new album 'Hata Payı' which is out April 5th on City Slang. As the release date rapidly approaches, the band have unveiled the video for their track 'Toz'. Enlisting Eli Kasavi on the direction front, the stylishly shot vid is a continuation of Jakuzi's 'Şüphe' which originally displayed an interaction of dancing between a couple and featured Jakuzi front man Kutay Soyocak standing off to the side simply observing in a doubtful manner. For 'Toz', Soyocak now alienates himself in a room of flashing lights and continues a dance solo. Have a look.

Chromatics ‘Time Rider’ Video

Chromatics are set to hit the road for a tour across North America, their first public outing as a group in more than five years. We're keeping our fingers crossed in hopes that a new album will also be on the way. In the meantime, the band have shared a new single and video titled 'Time Rider'. Directed by Chromatics themselves, it consists of kaleidoscopic visuals of singer Ruth Radelet performing the tune in the Italians Do It Better cinematic fashion. Musically the song is a seducing and luscious synthwave meets pop whirl of goodness.
