Rising NYC band Lathe of Heaven may not have been on the scene that long, but since forming in 2021, the four piece have garnished quite the attention, even from the team at Scared Bones Records, who they have just inked a deal with. Fusing everything from punk, to post-punk, to synthwave and more, Lathe of Heaven are scheduled to release their debut album Bound By Naked Skies on September 1st.

One of the tracks that will be featured on the upcoming LP is this haunting single entitled ‘Ekpyrosis’. A heavy punch that intersects between post-punk and coldwave, dark eerie guitar riffs, a rumbling bass line and rapid fire drumming all act as the palette to lashing vocals.

Lathe of Heaven have also shared visuals to accompany to track. Produced by Lucas Cabu and Vitor Jabour, the video has a lo-fi, gritty 70s feel to it. Have a look.
