Liverpool band SPQR have released their latest EP 'No Brain, No Pain' via Nuthin Gud Records. Comprised of four tracks, musically the group delve into experimental alternative, art-rock and punk rhythms whilst the content revolves around feelings of disconnect and separation from reality.

With the content revolving around issues pertaining to self-doubt, the production packs a punch with hard, chunky guitar riffs, thunderous drumming and an in your face vocal performance that hit like a stone blow to the chest. There is a great transition towards the end of the song, giving the cut a slightly more delicate feel. Produced by Margo Broom, 'Our Mother's Sons' follows the band's 2018 tune 'Blood Pump'.

A fun fair of art pop and punk, the song moves from an upbeat presentation to literally a slow, melodic change-up with beautiful piano play and enticing guitar licks before jumping back to the previous tempo.
