A month ago Sheffield band High Hazels shared their brilliant single 'One For The Cameras'. The group now unveil their latest cut 'One For The Cameras'. A smoking blend of nightly dream pop and alternative, heavenly melodies sweetly flow over a grooving rhythm that is more than infectious. Sheffield band BlackWaters have released their debut EP 'Street People', which is out via Jarr'ed Up Records. Produced by Martin Glover aka Youth, the five-song record is a combination of fierce punk and fiery indie stacked with energetic, in your face vocals. Recorded at Space Mountain Studios in Spain, the band's mountainous sound are rapidly launching them to the head of the class. Stream 'Street People' down at the bottom.
Recently releasing their 'Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino' album. Arctic Monkeys have now shared the official video to their single 'Four Out Of Five'. Enlisting Ben Chappell and Aaron Brown as the directors, singer Alex Turner wanders around in a hotel whilst at times jumping behind a camera looking like a 60s cinematographer. There are clips where Turner almost appears to be plotting a takeover. There is a Stanly Kubrick sensibility to 'Four Out Of Five' which you can peep for yourself below.
After a lengthy hiatus, Arctic Monkeys deliver a new album and sound with their sixth LP 'Tranquility Hotel Base and Casino'. Opting to try their hand at a bit more experimentation in the fashion on David Bowie and Serge Gainsbourg, with a bit of The Strokes thrown in there for good measure, gone are the revved-up blues rock meets punk sound of their earlier work, but rather replaced with a laid-back combo of smokey jazz, lounge and spacey art rock.
