London band Scrounge have released their new EP entitled 'Ideal'. The record comes at the heels of the band's latest single 'Badoom'. Comprised of four songs, the EP is a moody journey through hard-packing post-punk, dark and punchy, led by the capturing vocals of singer Lucy.
Inspired by random conversations heard whilst riding on a Belfast bus, Irish band New Pagans have unveiled their new track 'Charlie Has The Face Of A Saint'. Although the lyrics are quite the vivid story of guy dubbed Charlie who has problems fitting in school and more, New Pagans insist that it is left up for interpretation. A rushing sweep of alternative rock, the production on the track is quite crisp with lush guitar lines and a thick, rolling bass line all coinciding with sharp drum hits. With the vocals of singer Lyndsey McDougall adding a brightness to the tune, 'Charlie Has The Face Of A Saint' is a fantastic release from the rising band.
Annabel Allum has shared her latest single 'Baby Berlin'. Continuing to move in a direction that we absolutely love with a punchier, punk meets pop blend, Allum moves like a musical heroine, oozing with pure confidence and commanding the track with might.
Ferris & Sylvester have unveiled their new single 'I Dare You'. Darker and edgier in sound as compared to some of their previous records, the song combines elements of blues rock and alt-folk, fostering something truly steamy, as well as sexy. The track comes ahead of the band's upcoming headline shows beginning September 3rd in Guildford.
It's been a number of months since Newcastle band FEVA released their track 'Undone'. Well the group now make their return with a massive follow-up entitled 'We're Not Defective'. Taken from their forthcoming debut EP, the tune is a bold and punchy slice of alternative, whilst incorporating hard rock undertones.
The term death gospel is attributed to the sound of Swedish artist Louise Lemón. While an immediate assumption of something rather dark could spring to mind, her music is the light, soul and beauty of any tempestuous moment. Lemón's voice is a siren of power, with her production palette consisting of psychedelic rock, atmospheric pop, rhythm and blues, alternative and more. Passion is evident in her songs and Louise Lemón knows how to deliver them in a manner that hit straight to the heart and soul.
Arizona band The Myrrors have shared their new live performance track 'The Forward Path'. To call it a single would probably not do it any justice, considering that it's over 21 minutes in length! That's practically some artists' albums. What begins as a cinematic kick-off, slowly progresses into something quite entrancing, with these mystical-like vocal lines. By the 15th minute, the tune jumps into a head-nodding roller coaster ride of pure psychedelic explosions.
L.A. singer Lauren Ruth Ward taps delves into the more domestic side of life in her latest video 'Wise Gal'. Directed by Nicol Biesek and Dri Sommer, the vibrant sets all match individual outfits as Lauren does things like ironing, cooking and more before throwing a tantrum about the duties and completely destroying everything. The visuals are quite comical, with the song itself one killer slice of rock & roll. Have a look.
Whilst Swedish singer Louise Lemón dubs her sound as death gospel, her latest track 'Almond Milk' incorporates elements of psych-pop. What begins as a slow burning piece with haunting guitar riffs and Lemón's sultry vocals, builds up throughout the chorus before completely exploding towards the end of the song. Utterly moody, Lemón sings of refusing to let her love die for someone, despite trials and tribulations. The tune also shines a spotlight on her growth as an artist with the production and performance both explosive.
