It's been five years since New Jersey-based band Ruby the Hatchet dropped their album 'Planet Space Child'. After giving fans a taste of new material with their single 'Thruster' back in August, as well as their song 'Deceiver' last month, the heavy psych rock outfit have now released their new LP 'FEAR IS A CRUEL MASTER'.
Musician, singer and actor Caleb Landry Jones steps forth with his latest single 'Bogie', taken from his new album 'Gadzooks Vol. 1', landing September 24th via Sacred Bones. 'Bogie' finds Jones delivering a 60s powered sound of psychedelic, and indeed it's good. Slow, stoner guitar lines weave around breezy drumming and thumping bass licks.
Leeds band Magick Mountain have released their new work 'Taboo Sessions', a 4 track live EP. Recorded at Eiger Studios, the record features songs taken from their album 'Weird Feelings' and given new life through live studio performances.
Leeds band Magick Mountain follow-up their previous singles 'King Cobra' and 'Infinity X2' with a new track dubbed 'The Creeper', all taken from the group's forthcoming debut LP 'Weird Feelings'. Heavy drilling with a sonic combination of psychedelic rock, garage and even bits of sludge, the content of 'The Creeper' delves into that semi-awake, semi-sleep state that at times becomes hard to tell what's real and what's not. Indeed this is psych-rock in all of its glory.
