London band Calva Louise have been blazing trails in the UK punk scene, carving out their own lane, making them one of the more intriguing bands of the scene. After previously releasing cuts such as 'Outrageous' and 'I Heard A Cry', Calva Louise have dropped their debut LP 'Rhinoceros'. Comprised of ten tracks, the group fuses together punk, post-punk, indie and more. Whilst their sound has been driven by electric and fuzzy guitar liners, the trio have also incorporated pop-centric hooks in their songs, creating a bigger canvas to musically paint on.
Last year South London duo Scrounge made their debut with the song 'Etch'. A power-hitting blast of post-punk, the song demonstrated the band's dynamic demeanor. The pair now return with their latest single 'Crimson'. Pushing the tempo into faster territory, the track races with a sense of urgency as thunderous drums, sinister guitar riffs and Scrounge's overlapping vocals create a sense of orchestrated chaos. Full of energy, 'Crimson' is an overly exciting offering from the new post-punk heroes.

Brooklyn's Public Practice deliver post-punk potency with their latest single 'Slow Down'. Taken from a limited edition 7" which also features tracks by Flasher and Gong Gong Gong, the song is a social commentary piece over firey, off-kilter guitar lines, revving drums and Sam York's straight-talk vocal commands.
