Calva Louise Have Released Their Debut LP ‘Rhinoceros’

London band Calva Louise have been blazing trails in the UK punk scene, carving out their own lane, making them one of the more intriguing bands of the scene. After previously releasing cuts such as ‘Outrageous’ and ‘I Heard A Cry’, Calva Louise have dropped their debut LP Rhinoceros. Comprised of ten tracks, the group fuses together punk, post-punk, indie and more. Whilst their sound has been driven by electric and fuzzy guitar liners, the trio have also incorporated pop-centric hooks in their songs, creating a bigger canvas to musically paint on. A complete whirlwind of sonic goodness, you can stream Rhinoceros down below.

Regarding the album, Calva Louise said:

“Our debut album is called Rhinoceros, in reference to a particular aspect of the work of Eugène Ionesco. In the lyrics of these ten songs we show our perception as young people, partly foreigners, who try to fit in and belong to something and somewhere in this globalized world. However, we have realised that our greatest motivation is the challenge of adventure, of penetrating into the unknown, and being authentic allows us to feel free to follow our own path, without ceasing to belong to this world, which is the reality.”
