The tune is a collage of synthpop, new wave, industrial and 90s dance that all act with a cohesiveness.
Hull band Life have unveiled a new remix of their track 'Switching On' courtesy of guitarist Mark Bowen of IDLES. Sonically bold and intense, Bowen pulls from an industrial blueprint, incorporating sinister guitar riffs, lashing snares, distortion and more. Like a musical attack directly from the front line, the groundwork of the original version is firmly embedded in the rework.

Dark and hedi, the rework is a pulsing post-punk-fused gem peppered with spices of industrial, dance and electro. A great addition to the original version, Weatherall's version creates vivid images of those warehouse club moments in the wee hours of the morning. This is a killer handing from someone who has earned legend status in the music business.
