Wiley has unveiled his new album 'The Godfather 3', which according to a recent interview piece in The Guardian, is his last LP. Whilst we've heard him echo those same sentiments in the past, never the less the album is packed with 23 tracks of premium style Wiley beats and flows.
With a body of work spanning the past four years including his 2018 EP 'Yomi', Newcastle producer Xaatu has crossed various boundaries stylistically with a sound embodying electronica, trap, grime and more. An alchemy of rhythms, the artist now steps up with his latest single titled 'Save Me'. Unleashing a fury of bouncy drum kicks, running hi hats and winding synth lines, there are also multiple and appropriately placed drops that will surely burn down the raves.
With huge accomplishment of having his debut album 'Nothing Great About Britain' being one of the best of 2019, Northampton emcee slowthai returns with his latest track 'ENEMY'. Produced by slowthai, Kwes Darko and Samo, the tune is a bass-rattling beast that finds the rapper dropping jaw-punching rhymes.
After dropping the banger 'Pepper Stew' with JME, grime vet Footsie now teams-up with CASISDEAD for the cut 'Restless Jack'. This is pure unadulterated grime with no fluff or filler. Birmingham grime emcee Jaykae has dropped the video for his latest track 'On Top'. The song is produced by A Class. In terms of the visuals, Jaykae troops around the ends with his crew whilst definitely going in with the bars. It should be noted that he is also being responsible by wearing a mask and gloves to protect himself against the threat of the coronavirus. As a matter of fact, almost everyone in the vid are wearing masks. Remember, safety over everything first! Have a look.
Footsie has been a mainstay in grime since it's early beginnings. Having blazed a trail as a member of Newham Generals along with D Double E, it's almost hard to believe that this year will Footsie be releasing his debut solo album 'No Favours'. As the saying goes, better late than never. In fact, Footsie has recently shared a video for his single 'Pepper Stew' featuring JME. Directed by Chas Appeti, the visuals feature the two emcees hanging out in the ends spraying down bars.

In-between Twitter wars and back and forth diss tracks between himself and Stormzy, Wiley has still found the time to share a song that will be featured on his upcoming 'Godfather 3' LP. Grime/Hip-Hop emcee Lady Leshurr has released the video for her track 'Queens Speech 4'. With the vid quite simple, what you have here is Leshurr walking down the street spraying the bars to the song whilst looking hotter than the a summer's day in July. Of course you can always expect high potent lyrics from the Midlands rapper. Basically what more do you need? Check it out.
In a nutshell, grime emcee Stormzy records a track paying homage to Wiley with his tune 'Wiley Flow'. The 'Godfather of grime' himself, Wiley, later then goes on a rant on Twitter expressing his disappointment with Stormzy making pop music with people like Ed Sheeran. Words are exchanged via Twitter and before you know it, you have both rappers recording diss tracks. Wiley sent for Stormzy with the song 'Eediyat Skengman'. Stormzy then unleashed his response with not only a track but a video titled 'Disappointed'. Considering that both Wiley and Stormzy are top tier emcees, each record makes for a good battle, even if the origins of it is a little silly. Check out both songs below.
