Kasket Interview

Charlie Baldwin, better known as the producer Kasket, was destined to create music. After all, it's in his genes...literally. The son of legendary jazz guitarist Ray Russell, Kasket's production aesthetics flow in the same vein as jazz, yet also include inspiration from branches of electronic music such as drum and bass, dubstep and house music, as well as Hip-Hop, ultimately morphed into his distinct sound.

Creamfields Festival Announce 2014 Lineup

Creamfields, one of the biggest music festivals in the UK and the world for that matter, is back for another year with literally the biggest names in the electronic music scene to date. Returning to Daresbury, Cheshire August 22nd-24th, the massive lineup includes Pete Tong, Calvin Harris, Avicii, Fatboy Slim, Tiësto, MistaJam, Sasha, deadmau5 and the list goes on and on. It's an understatement to say that tickets will sellout extremely fast so the logical thing to do is to get yours now!

B. Traits, Dre Skull, Channel One, at Plan B, Feb. 22nd, London

Mixpak Records began in early 2009 as a sonic powerhouse where house music, dancehall, rap and punk could not only co-exist, but be combined in new and exciting ways. The imprint is the vision of Brooklyn-based DJ/producer Dre Skull, whose resume includes an impressive list of collaborations with the likes of Vybz Kartel, Diplo, Snoop Dogg, Lil Scrappy, and Sizzla. "I wanted to build something that could bridge many different worlds," Dre explains of the Mixpak ethos. "With the music industry undergoing cataclysmic shifts, it created interesting opportunities for creativity and we're playing in that space."
