Pumping out four original cuts, the sounds of 90s New York house are firmly implanted in the production as floor thumping drums are coupled with sharp, stabbing synths that are graced with a raw, unfiltered blanketing. Montreal duo Hollis P Monroe and Overnite known together as The Black 80s will release their album 'Heart to Art' on September 16th via Sonar Kollectiv. With both acts already making their mark in the house scene, their new album is laced with a heavy dose of soul and future jazz, brilliantly weaved around 4x4-driven kicks. With a CV that is practically flawless, the artist has not only worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga and more, he has also worked with legendary house mainstay Todd Terry. Having released material on various labels, including his own Extinct Records, Cid now returns with a monster of an EP titled 'Hidden'. Comprised of two original cuts, the title is a sleek and enchanting taste of the deeper side of house whilst 'Costa Verde' is a marriage of rumbling percussion underneath dark-tech inceptions.
