London-based producer Mosca will release his forthcoming EP 'Cedar Wood State' on June 10th via the Not So Much imprint. Experimenting with the sound of techno, with both additives and removals, the single pack includes two versions of the title track. The Vector mix is a frequency twisting and turning of acid-techno whereas the Volt mix incorporates an old-school Miami Bass bounce whilst still incorporating an acid sound. Below is a preview of the Vector mix.
With a CV that already includes recordings on Hot Creations, MadTechand ViVa, DJ and producer Neil Parkes makes his return to the Leftroom imprint for the release of his new EP 'Fallin In Love'. The record finds Parkes playfully bridging the classic sound of acid with funk-layered house on the title track whilst songs like 'Time To Go' and 'Gonna Tell Yer' slides on the darker spectrum of experimentalism of 4x4, charged with thunderous bass punches and sinister effects. There is also a remix of 'Fallin In Love' courtesy of producer Denney. The EP will land April 29th.
What happens when you combine the classic sound of acid with brooding, nu disco? You get the Tuff City Kids remix of the VIMES tune 'Mind'. Pumping like no one's business, the mid-tempo rework is quite engaging, making anyone want to slow step up to the person you're standing next to in a club. The original version of the track is taken from VIMES' forthcoming LP 'Nights In Limb', out February 12th. Have a listen.
