Stream Tracey Thorn’s “How Wild the Wind Blows”

Tracey Thorn

Back in 2013, Tracey Thorn recorded re-interpretations of two Molly Drake (mother of folk singer/songwriter Nick Drake) tracks for a documentary about Drake’s life, which was broadcasted on BBC Radio 4. Thorn covered the cuts “How Wild the Wind Blows” and “Night is my Friend”. The songs eventually got pressed on 7″ vinyl for Record Store Day 2014. Tracey Thorn along with Ben Watt have now recorded minimal versions of the two songs with only a guitar and electric piano acting as the backbone. Now titled the “Molly Drake Songs EP”, these new reworkings will get released April 19 on limited edition vinyl, with a digital release dropping later in the year.
