For years Sweden’s Sofia Härdig has been releasing incredible records, infusing the sounds of post-punk, goth, new wave, alternative, and more. Sometimes dark and moody, her tracks are brilliantly crafted with detail that truly reflects her seasoned artistry. On April 11th she is scheduled to drop her forthcoming album Lighthouse of Glass on the Bark At Your Owner label. Ahead of its release is her latest single titled ‘Pale Fire’.

The mid-tempo track is launched with these haunting piano riffs and skeletal drums allowing Härdig to fill in the gaps with her lead and backing vocals. The minimalist and almost melancholic palette is the perfect example of the less is more theory with the Swedish singer, musician, and producer delivering another impactful single to coincide with her already immaculate catalogue.

Touching on the single, Sofia Härdig stated:

“I wrote on my own in solitude for almost two years. I read a lot, wrote a lot, and recorded more than hundred of songs. I was in this cave of writing. I remember opening the song on my phone and listening on headphones while sitting in a park. I started crying and listened on repeat. The best birthday gift ever.”
