There are really only so many artists who can truly get away with genre blending and bending. Greek-born, Berlin-based singer Sissi Rada has truly found a sweet spot with not only simply merging multiple styles, but actually combining so many in one track with each remaining cohesive to the song structure. Whether stirring together electronica, jazz, post classical or even pop, Rada creates otherworldly sounds that are truly like no other.
Sissi Rada has released her debut album Pragma via Inner Ear Records. Recorded over a span of two years between Athens and Berlin, the record is produced by Max Trieder with guests appearances including the Camerata Athens Quartet, Niklas Lutterbach, Sergiu Nastaza and more. With the theme of the LP structured around the relationship between man and symbols, Pragma is an unorthodox and determined record full of operatic vocal patterns and lofty yet experimental instrumentation that is utterly unique, captivating and engaging. Below is a stream of the album.
