Stream SHE’s Ethereal Indie Pop Single ‘Lay Low’

Birmingham group SHE have unveiled their latest cut ‘Lay Low’, which has already been spotlighted on BBC Introducing. Lyrically tapping into the subject of personal faith, the song is an ethereal sensation of indie pop, glistening uncontrollably and also continuing to reflect the rapid maturity of the band since their initial impressive debut. For fans of groups like London Grammar and The xx, SHE will definitely please the ears.

Regarding ‘Lay Low’, singer Rebecca said:

“This track is about my relationship with God. It’s a hot topic that everyone has an opinion
on and religion shaped a large part of my childhood so I’ve always kept it in mind. You may believe in a
divine entity or a higher power and you may not. Whether you choose to believe in anything or nothing
at all, I recognise that there is friction in religion, an uncomfortable edge that some tread carefully
around whilst others query freely. I find faith interesting and my own personal frustrations in the subject
are explored in this song. When deities are invisible forces and I am a ‘real human being’ then why not
believe in me? Or at least recognise that I exist. ‘Lay Low’ tells a story of discovery, denial and despair all
at once.”
