Becky Jones aka Saint Saviour had shared her new single ‘Paris’, taken from her upcoming LP Tomorrow Again, out September 4th. A tender offering, the twinkling electronic meets acoustic production, equipped with beautiful strings, acts as the backdrop to Saint Saviour’s tale of a love and the broken aspect of it whilst on a trip in Paris with that supposedly special someone. The song follows her previous single ‘Home’ featuring Bill Ryder-Jones.
Saint Saviour has also shared an animated video of ‘Paris’ which is available to watch down at the bottom.
Touching on ‘Paris’, Saint Saviour stated:
“Originally my reference song was ‘Such Great Heights’ by the Postal Service, which is one of my favourite love songs ever. John built up a really fun electronic track around it but as the album took shape we realised it stuck out a bit too much. Maybe we will use it as a remix version, but we had to start from scratch again to make something which felt more akin to the rest of the album, making something a bit more acoustic and gentle.”
