Last year UK soul artist Reginald Omas Mamode IV made waves with his EP “Do You”, garnishing support by the likes of Gilles Peterson, who featured the title cut on his “Brownswood Bubblers Ten” compilation. The South London native returns with his latest EP “As We Move”, an organic mixture of jazz, soul and funk, wrapped around milky Hip-Hop beats reminiscent of the late great J Dilla. One of the cuts taken from the new record is the track “Understand Me”, a hazy bass line driven, minimal piece that swirls around an utterly funky groove.
