Former Selebrities frontwoman Maria Usbeck has announced the release of her debut LP Amparo, scheduled to land May 27th on Labrador Records. Although originally orchestrated electronically, Usbeck went on to record the album with Caroline Polachek of Chairlift to add a bigger sound with organic instrumentation.

The first single taken from ‘Amparo’ is the astounding pop cut ‘Moai Y Yo’. Usbeck uses her Spanish language to add a distinct grace to the fun and whimsical etching of pop. This is truly a refreshing recording. You can stream ‘Moai Y Yo’ below.
