Last year Lykke Li released her fourth studio album so sad so sexy, which found the Swedish artist fusing more R&B and trap influences in her firmly planted brand of pop. Having shared a remix of the song ‘sex money feelings die’ which featured Lil Baby and snowsa, Lykke Li has now dropped a new EP titled still sad still sexy.

Comprised of six songs in total, musically the EP essentially picks up where the LP left off. Whilst predominantly a remix EP, there are two original songs on the EP, the first being the nocturnal and moody ‘baby doves’, and the second which is a bass meets pop offering dubbed ‘neon’. Lykke Li connects wit Skrillex and Ty Dollar $ign for a reworking of ‘two nights’ which is simply titled ‘two nights part ii’. The song is the most upbeat and experimental track on the EP with Lykke Li opting for more of a spacious palette for the beat-less, alternative versions of the cuts ‘so sad so sexy’ and ‘deep end’.

The EP release comes ahead of Lykke Li’s YOLA DÍA Festival in Los Angeles scheduled for August 18th.
