London singer Lilah Pi has stepped up with her latest track ‘Stone’. The song features a guest appearance by Camden artist Bakar.
An otherworldly blend of R&B and pop, the spacey production is built on sweltering, cosmic keys, 4×4 drums, and even saxophone play, the content of ‘Stone’ touches on the wishes of preserving a relationship, the way that Greek statues are constructed. Lilah Pi has delivered a breezy and lush summertime hit that simply feels good to the spirit.
Touching on the single, Lilah Pi mentioned:
“I wrote ‘Stone’ after looking at some greek stone statues, they were forever stuck in a moment of love and intimacy and I thought how much better life would be if you could pause your relationship in its best moment and turn it to stone, so it would last forever.”
