Miami punk trio Las Nubes has been pumping out releases spanning over the last six years. With their sound ranging from lo-fi to all out punk and noise rock, the group have been known to drop lyrics in both English and Spanish. Having recently dropped a split EP with fellow Miami band Palomino Blond, Las Nubes now step forth with their latest single titled ‘Demonize’. Sonically the band delivers more of an airy dream pop sound with ripping punk highs throughout the hook. With a twisting guitar riff acting as the central line, lo-fi vocals add a distinct bliss to the song, making it a smokey delight.
Touching on the track, vocalist Ale Campos stated:
“Contrary to usual Las Nubes writing methods, the lyrics for ‘Demonize’ were written first after watching 13th, a documentary on the criminalization of African Americans and the injustice of mass incarceration. The riffs poured out shortly after.”
