London group KHARTOUM have released their latest EP Some Days via the Young Poet imprint. The record follows the band’s 2021 record Vultures.
Some Days is comprised of four cuts in total and finds the outfit delivering an expansive sound of alternative, 70s psych, and indie dance. The record is produced by KHARTOUM themselves, with the engineering handled by Grammy Award winning Eduardo De La Paz. With massive instrumentations throughout the EP coinciding with infectious melodies, this is definitely large performance material.

Regarding the EP, KHARTOUM mentioned:
“The EP title came about from the sample that’s heard at the very beginning of the title track ‘some days’.. it’s actually an old iPhone recording of an early song that we never properly recorded. It’s been slowed down to match the key of the track so that’s why the vocal sounds so freaky.
Creating music is like going to a library and taking out a few books, ripping out your favourite pages that day and sticking them together to form a story.
This EP is simply the result of ‘some days’ we visited the library and tore out some pages.”
