Having released their EP safeplace. back in 2019, Manchester-based group Hayes & Y make their return with their latest single ‘All Pressure/No Pleasure’. Drawing inspiration from an 80s palette, the track is a sparkling taste of indie pop laced with dreamy synth layers, slick guitar riffs and dazzling vocals. Adding a bit of funk into the production, ‘All Pressure/No Pleasure’ deals with the juxtaposition of those confirming to society’s norms and those who struggle with adhering to the same demands.

Regarding the track, singer Blagoslav said:

“I feel that’s something that has been troubling people for a long time. Conformity comes easy for some people, but others really struggle with it and find it hard to find their place in a society, where it is paramount.”
