Toronto’s Gillian Mapp is a singer, songwriter, photographer and founder of The Build collective, who is one of the forces helping to push the creative scene of the city. Having contributed vocals to acts such as 2nd Son and Wu-Lu, Mapp shared her single ‘Orange Bitters’ earlier this year. She now steps up with a remix courtesy of fellow Torontonian Josh Grant who provides a silky, cosmic redo of the track. Lush, spaced-out keys coincide with head-nodding drum kicks that have a J-Dilla-esque swing to them. A gorgeous reworking of a Gillian Mapp’s already seducing original, we’re looking forward to more tunes from the Canadian artist in the future.
