With her forthcoming album Deep Is The Way scheduled to drop January 27th on Dot Dash / Remote Control Records, Australian singer Gena Rose Bruce has shared her new single ‘Misery And Misfortune’.

‘Misery And Misfortune’ is a spacious, slow burning tune that launches with tender guitar riffs before easing into simple drum kicks and light synths. The production builds up after the first verse, with Bruce bringing forth lyrics about being appreciative for what is, rather than dwelling on what isn’t or remaining in negative spaces. The track follows her previous single ‘Foolishly In Love’.

Touching on the track, Gena Rose Bruce said:

“This song is about feeling grateful and appreciative for when you can actually feel your feelings. Even if some of those feelings may not be positive, at least they turn on all your senses and remind you that you are still alive.”
