Back in 2012, Ellinor Olovsdotter aka Elliphant released a number of records including “Tekkno Scene”, “Ciant Hear It” and “Down On Life”, quickly capturing listeners’ attention, while also drawing comparisons to M.I.A, due to a mixture of frenzied electronica and a ‘rude gyal-like’ flow. In October of 2013, the Stockholm-born artist released her debut LP “A Good Idea” which was accessibly limited due to it only getting released in Sweden. While she has since allowed fans outside of Sweden to purchase the album on her website, between that time frame and now, Elliphant caught the attention of Diplo, moved to Los Angeles, and has now dropped a new EP titled “Look Like You Love It” on Mad Decent. The seven song record, chopped with production by Dave Sitek, Diplo, Dr. Luke and more, finds Elliphant diving deeper, head first, into speaker rattling bass music, tropical and Hip-Hop, fitting comfortably with previous releases on the Mad Decent label. You can preview the EP below.
