Stockholm artist Bishat have joined forces with producer Damian Ardestani for her latest single ‘Unholy Romance’. A dark and moody piece that straddles the line of RnB and pop, the chilled and nocturnal feel of the production is a haunting palette for Bishat whose manipulated vocals add further textures to the recording. The track will be featured on Bishat’s upcoming EP.

Discussing ‘Unholy Romance’, Bishat mentioned:

“When we came together on a cold rainy and bitter day on an Island outside of Stockholm I had to get on a car ferry to the studio where I was working and found myself standing in the freezing cold looking out over the dark water and knew this wasn´t a day for happy tunes.

We were sitting in his cabin talking about life. We had the theme and I came up with the title which he loved but finding the lyrics was more of a struggle so we took a break. Damian went all Freud on me and when we came back we just wrote it. It was fluid and effortless and I felt it had something special. ”
