By now male/female electronic duos are as about as commonplace as there are DJs on the market, but there is something irresistibly captivating about the Düsseldorf-based group BAR. Consisting of Lucas Croon and Christina Irrgang, their sound bridges together new wave, dream pop and experimental electronica that contains a dynamic contrast of elegance with a darker edge that sits in the soil of German masterminds like Tangerine Dream. The pair released their album “Welcome To BAR” in June of this year on ITALIC Recordings, which contains their latest single “White Noise”, a subtle yet classy new wave/synth pop bit that is oh so delicious.
