If you’re not familiar with Argy & Mama, then you probably should get caught up to speed…and quick. The Berlin-based duo consisting of Argyris Theofilis, whose 2005 record “Love Dose” was a smash hit, and vocalist Simone Ogunbunmi, who has toured with the likes of Kele, came together to fuse their love of classic house, rave and UK Garage. Having released their Recluse EP in July of last year, the two have now released their debut LP Dominonation via BPitch Control Records. The first single taken from the new album is the infectious and grooving tune called “This Is Your Beat”. The spacious yet soulful production is the perfect compliment to Mama’s capturing voice, making this one brilliant release.
