The idea of being illusive is nothing new in electronic music, however producer and musician Arenas is so mysterious that the only thing somewhat known about him is that he has studied jazz in Ireland for the past couple of years. Apparently the idea is for the listener to focus mainly on the music and less about him personally.

Forthcoming in December is Arenas’ new EP Erin, a three part working of glitchy Hip-Hop, experimental electronica, nu-jazz and even gospel. Paying homage to Ireland, Erin showcases Arenas’ impressive keyboard playing, all the while exhibiting head-nodding grooves that lifts the art of jazz from any boxes of conformity.
