Manchester band Affairs are one of those groups who stylistically bridge the sounds of classic Brit rock with a present dash of dream pop. Whilst the immediate comparison would be to music legend Morrissey, Affairs are definitely marking their own territory with a soundscape atmospheric and compelling. Their latest single ‘Life of Leisure’ in which they dub ‘doom pop’, is an escalating, mid-tempo stash of indie pop that is gigantic in production and ethereal in vocals.
